Woman wounded in Montgomery Co. shooting

A woman is in the hospital with life-threatening injuries after a “domestic-related shooting” early Monday morning in Montgomery County, police say.

The woman was shot at a home in the 22800 block of Frederick Road in Clarksburg. Police said they received a 911 call about the shooting at 2:42 a.m.

A man has been arrested in connection with the shooting. Police said they are still investigating.

More students in Charles, Montgomery counties head back to class

Charles County Public Schools in Maryland will head into Phase 4 of its COVID-19 reopening plan on Monday morning, with 5,800 students from prekindergarten through 12th grade returning to classrooms. Returning students will take part in in-person learning on a rotating schedule for two days a week, according to a news release issued by the school system Wednesday. Any student eligible to return under Phase 3 “now falls under the Phase 4 schedule” if they return for in-person learning.
