3 people injured in separate shootings in Montgomery Co.

Two separate shootings in Montgomery County, Maryland, on Saturday left three people injured. In the first case, Montgomery County police officers were called to a hospital when two people, an adult male and an adult female, showed up with gunshot wounds. The police said in a statement that the shooting happened on Quebec Terrace in the New Hampshire Estates, in Silver Spring, at around 8:30 p.m. Saturday. Montgomery County Police spokeswoman Rebecca Innocenti said the investigation is ongoing and no other details were available. Below is a map of the location of the shooting. In a tweet, Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Battalion Chief Steve Mann said the Gaithersburg City police and county officers found one person injured with gunshot wounds.

The victim was taken to a hospital and is in stable condition, Innocenti said. No arrests were made in either incident, but Innocenti said that they do not appear to be related.

Driver dead after vehicle strikes tree in Gaithersburg

A D.C. man is dead after veering off the road and striking a tree in Gaithersburg, Maryland, on Monday evening. Crews from Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service were dispatched around 6:30 p.m. for a roll-over near the intersection of Md. 28/Darnestown Road and Tschiffely Square Road, in the Quince Orchard area of Gaithersburg.
