Glenmont Metro station reopens after ‘full-scale’ emergency drill

The Glenmont Metro station was closed from the morning hours until 2 p.m. Sunday due to an emergency drill. The full-scale emergency drill involved Metro Transit Police, Montgomery County and regional partners, including emergency response personnel from Prince George’s County and the District of Columbia. The station itself was shut down, but free shuttle buses operated between Wheaton and Glenmont until 2 p.m. Metrobus service to the station operated normally.
