Motorcyclist spins out on I-97 near Millersville

WASHINGTON — A motorcyclist is in critical condition after spinning out in single-vehicle crash near Millersville, Maryland.

Maryland State Police Cpl. Michael Hubbard said the accident occurred just before 6 a.m. on Interstate 97 near the Hawkins Road Overpass.

Authorities remained on the scene to investigate, shutting lanes on I-97 for several hours and causing traffic delays.

Just after 10:30 a.m., police said all lanes had reopened.



Police: Md. man caused multi-vehicle crash, attacked police

A Maryland man was arrested after he fled from a multi-vehicle crash and then attacked officers while resisting arrest, according to Anne Arundel County police. According to police, Brandon Tyrell Hardy, 25, of Annapolis, ran a red light near Mountain Road and Route 10 in the Pasadena area around 11 a.m. Friday and crashed into two other cars, injuring several people.
