WASHINGTON — Two men were arrested in Loudoun County last week and charged with running a prostitution ring out of a residence in Sterling, Virginia.

Luis A. Bonilla-Hernandez, 32, of Sterling, and Eliazar Duran-Mota, 22, of Herndon, were arrested July 6 after an investigation that the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement lasted almost a year.

Detectives with the sheriff’s office began the investigation in August of last year after getting reports of a possible prostitution ring running out of a residence on West Nettle Tree Road, in Sterling. Women would travel from other states and meet the two men in Maryland, the sheriff’s office said; from there, the two would take the women to various spots in Loudoun County.

The men were charged with two felony counts of receiving money from earnings of a female prostitute and two misdemeanor counts of using vehicles to promote prostitution. Duran-Mota was also charged with cruelty to animals; the sheriff’s office said he was seen harming a dog during the course of the investigation.

They’ve been released on bond.
