Police: Masseur assaulted woman during massage at Fairfax County spa

WASHINGTON — Police arrested a Prince William County man Monday after they say he assaulted a woman during a massage at a Fairfax County spa last month.

On May 12, Amr Mohammed, a 51-year-old masseur, assaulted a woman during a massage appointment at Bella Luna Day Spa, located at 1401 Chain Bridge Rd. in McLean, Virginia, Fairfax County police said.

The victim immediately left and contacted authorities, according to police.

Police obtained a warrant for Mohammed’s arrest on June 21 and arrested him Monday.

The Prince William County resident was charged with one count of simple assault and was released on personal recognizance.

Detectives are looking into the possibility that Mohammed may have assaulted other people. Anyone who experienced a similar incident or has additional information can contact police at 703-246-7800.

Calls to Bella Luna Day Spa management regarding Mohammed’s employment were not immediately returned Monday.

Search continues for swimmer who went missing in Potomac River

The search resumed Wednesday for a man who went missing in the Potomac River, near Great Falls, one day ago. A man who was with two swimmers called 911 from the shoreline of the Potomac River, south of Sandy Landing, at around 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, a spokesman for Montgomery County Fire and Rescue told WTOP.
