WASHINGTON — Prince George’s County police have identified the homicide victim as 25-year-old Christopher Stanley of Haynes Court in Laurel, Maryland.

The homicide happened early Sunday morning in Laurel, Maryland.

Officers responded to a reports of a shooting in the 15700 block of Haynes Road around 3 a.m. on Sunday, police said in a tweet. When officers arrived, they found Stanley inside a home suffering from gun shot wounds. He was pronounced dead on the scene. Police said the shooting does not appear to be a random incident and detectives are working to establish a suspect and motive in the case.
