Body of missing Montgomery Co. man found in Ocean City canal

OCEAN CITY, Md. (AP) — Police say the body of a Maryland man who was reported missing has been recovered from a bayside canal.

The Daily Times of Salisbury reports the body of 23-year-old Cesar Alcides Martinez Saravia was recovered from a bayside canal in Ocean City on Monday.

An Ocean City police news release says friends of the Montgomery County man reported him missing Sunday morning.

The man’s body has been sent to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner of Maryland for an autopsy. Police say there were no obvious signs of injury and no foul play is suspected at this time. An investigation is ongoing.

1 tornado confirmed in Anne Arundel County during Tuesday’s storms

At least one tornado was confirmed by the National Weather Service in Anne Arundel County, Maryland, during Tuesday's storms in the D.C. region. An EF-1 tornado landed in Lake Shore near Patapsco Road at 6:15 p.m. NWS officials determined that the estimated peak winds of the tornado was 100 mph. The twister was on the ground for two minutes as it was around three-quarters of mile long and 160 yards wide.
