1 man dead, 1 critically wounded in Prince George’s Co. shooting

WASHINGTON — Police are investigating a double shooting that left one man dead and another critically wounded in Prince George’s County. Officers responded to a shooting a little before 1 a.m. on Saturday in the 6200 block of Maxwell Drive, police said on Twitter.

When officers arrived on the scene, they found two adult males in a parking lot with gunshot wounds to the upper body. One man was declared dead on the scene, another was taken to the hospital in critical condition. Police are asking for anyone with any information to call Crime Solvers at 1-866-411-TIPS. Former Prince George’s County Planning Board chair sues county, top leaders

The now former chair of the Prince George’s County Planning Board is suing the county, as well as County Executive Aisha Braveboy and County Council Chair Krystal Oriadha. Darryl Barnes, a former state delegate, resigned after roughly 10 months in his new job, but said the resignation was made under duress and that his first amendment and due process rights were violated.
