Kennedy Center announces $10 tickets to ‘Hamilton’

WASHINGTON — Did you miss out on top-dollar “Hamilton” tickets? Not to worry.

On Friday, the Kennedy Center announced a special digital lottery where 40 orchestra tickets will be sold for $10 each for every performance.

The lottery opens at 11 a.m. Sunday, June 10 for the debut performance on Tuesday, June 12.

Subsequent digital lotteries will begin two days prior to each performance and close at 9 a.m. the day prior to each performance.

Each winning entrant may purchase up to two tickets.

You can enter using the official “Hamilton” app or visit the lottery website.

Patrons must be 18 years or older and have a valid, non-expired photo ID that matches the name used to enter. Tickets are non-transferable.

The show runs from June 12-Sept. 16.

Glen Hansard, Irish musician who won Oscar for ‘Once,’ dies in motorcycle crash

LONDON (AP) — Irish singer-songwriter Glen Hansard, who won an Academy Award for the 2007 film “Once,” died in a motorcycle crash on the outskirts of Dublin early Wednesday, his management said. He was 56. ATC Management told broadcaster RTE Hansard's family was “deeply shocked and heartbroken.” News of his death brought tributes from fellow musicians including Bruce Springsteen, who said on Instagram he was “heartbroken” at the loss of “a great musician, a good friend and a generous and gracious man.” Irish police said a man in his 50s died in single-vehicle motorcycle crash in Lucan, on the western outskirts of the Irish capital, before 4:30 a.m. Wednesday. The man, who they did not name, was treated at the scene but pronounced dead a short time later.
