WASHINGTON — A man linked to at least three bank robberies in Northern Virginia last year has been arrested.

Youssif Aziz, 27, of Centreville, Virginia, faces charges for the chain of robberies, which occurred within days of one another.

Fairfax County police announced his arrest in a news release on Friday.

According to news release from June 2017, Aziz entered a TD Bank in the 9500 block of Main Street on June 9 around 3:30 p.m. He demanded money and left with an undisclosed amount of cash.

A week later, on June 17, Fairfax County police responded to a similar bank robbery around 12:45 p.m. at a TD Bank in the 6200 block of Multiplex Drive in Centreville.

Aziz is also linked to a June 8 robbery at an Advance America on the 14200 block of Centreville Square.

No one was hurt during the robberies, police say.

Aziz is currently held without bond.

Detectives believe Aziz may be linked to other robberies in the area.
