NHL releases Caps’ schedule for Stanley Cup Final

WASHINGTON — The Capitals will be taking on the upstart Las Vegas Golden Knights for the Stanley Cup.

For your planning purposes, here’s the schedule:

  • Game 1: Capitals at Golden Knights — Monday, May 28, 8 p.m.
  • Game 2: Capitals at Golden Knights — Wednesday, May 30, 8 p.m.
  • Game 3: Golden Knights at Capitals — Saturday, June 2, 8 p.m.
  • Game 4: Golden Knights at Capitals — Monday, June 4, 8 p.m.
  • Game 5*: Capitals at Knights — Thursday, June 7, 8 p.m.
  • Game 6*: Golden Knights at Capitals — Sunday, June 10, 8 p.m.

Washington Capitals release 2026-27 schedule

The Washington Capitals have released their 2026-27 regular season schedule, and the expanded 84-game campaign begins with a date with the defending champs in their own barn. The Capitals open their season Oct. 2 at 7 p.m. against the Carolina Hurricanes at Lenovo Center before heading to Tampa to face the Lightning the very next day, the team announced Thursday. That is the first of 14 sets of back-to-back games for the Caps.
