1 dead, another injured in Oxon Hill shooting

WASHINGTON — One man is dead and another is injured following a Sunday evening shooting in Oxon Hill, Maryland.

Prince George’s County police responded to the 5600 block of Saint Barnabas Road around 7:30 p.m. for a report of a shooting.

There, they found Rodney Snowden, 28, of Goodluck Road in Greenbelt, suffering from gunshot wounds. He died later at a local hospital.

A second man, who police did not identify, was taken to an area hospital for treatment.

Police are working to identify any suspects in the case.

Former Prince George’s County Planning Board chair sues county, top leaders

The now former chair of the Prince George’s County Planning Board is suing the county, as well as County Executive Aisha Braveboy and County Council Chair Krystal Oriadha. Darryl Barnes, a former state delegate, resigned after roughly 10 months in his new job, but said the resignation was made under duress and that his first amendment and due process rights were violated.
