WASHINGTON — Pimlico Race Course is saying “neigh” to outside drinks in the grandstand and banning outside food from the infield for the 2018 Preakness Stakes, according to their guide for this year’s festivities.

The latest round of restrictions follows the Maryland Jockey Club’s 2009 move to block attendees from bringing their own alcohol to the infield.

That ban was heavily criticized by visitors, according to The Baltimore Sun.

It certainly won’t be raining beers the way it did in the early 2000s, which saw the infamous running of the urinals.

Instead, it is forecast to just plain old rain. So, prepare for that.

Items prohibited from the infield include:

• Thermoses;
• balloons or balls;
• food or beverages of any kind (including alcohol, beer, wine, soft drinks, water or other beverages).

Items prohibited from the grandstand include:

• Beverages of any kind (including alcohol, beer, wine, soft drinks, water or other beverages);
• coolers, backpacks or thermoses.

Items that are prohibited from the entire race course:

• Drugs or weapons of any kind;
• glass containers of any type;
• tents;
• hibachis or barbecues;
• ladders, scaffolding or other raised devices;
• bulk or oversized carrying devices;
• non-folding, or folding, metal furniture;
• hand carts, or wheeled carts;
• backpacks and dufflebags;
• Smoking is not permitted in any seating section. Please use designated smoking areas.
