WASHINGTON — Rep. Anthony Brown, D-Md. is resting at home after suffering a minor stroke Friday.

Brown was released from University of Maryland Prince George’s County Hospital Center Sunday.

“It was determined he had experienced a minor stroke but had no deficits. … He’s expected to make a full recovery,” Brown’s spokesman, Matt Verghese, said on Monday.

Brown was taken there Friday afternoon, hours after attending the funeral for Baltimore County Executive Kevin Kamenetz.

Brown complained of nausea and severe dizziness at home and his his wife called 911.

“The Congressman is in good spirits, staying active and is recuperating at home. He spoke to his staff this afternoon, and is already eager to return to Washington,” Verghese said.

There is no set date for his return to Capitol Hill.
