WASHINGTON — Andy Murray, former World No. 1 and three-time Grand Slam champion, will complete in the Citi Open Tennis Tournament July 28 through August 25 this year.

The tournament will be held at the Rock Creek Park Tennis Center in Northwest D.C.

Other players include World No. 2 and 2018 Australian Open champion Caroline Wozniacki, as well as 16-time Grand Slam champions and four-time Citi Open champions Mike and Bob Bryan.

Murray reached No. 1 in 2016 and held the position for just over a year. He is expected to return to the sport from injury this spring.

Murray holds 45 singles career titles, including two from Wimbledon (2013 and 2016) and one from the U.S. Open (2012). He is also a two-time Olympic gold medalist from the London and Rio de Janeiro games.

The Citi Open tournament has been D.C.’s premier tennis event since 1969. It will celebrate its 50th edition this year.
