Police identify 2 victims in fatal Prince George’s Co. crash

WASHINGTON — Prince George’s County police have identified the two people who died after their car crashed into a utility pole in Capitol Heights, Maryland, Sunday.

Christopher Jackson, 34, of Northeast D.C. and Shadella McDowney, 34, of Oxon Hill, Maryland, were both pronounced dead at the scene after the vehicle they were in collided with a utility pole at Boundary Avenue and Opus Avenue around 2:30 a.m. Sunday.

Police say the vehicle was traveling northbound on Boundary Avenue at the time of the crash. They are still investigating the cause of the crash.
