Police: Takoma Park resident received ‘Punish a Muslim Day’ flyer

WASHINGTON — Police in Takoma Park, Maryland, said Monday that a resident received an anti-Muslim flyer that has been making the rounds on social media. The flyers state that April 3 is “Punish a Muslim Day” and “points” will be rewarded for hateful acts targeting Muslims. Takoma Park police said they encourage the community to be vigilant and to contact police immediately in case of any danger. They are also encouraging residents to contact police at 301-270-1100 if they have received the flyers, either in the mail or through social media.
