WASHINGTON — A 28-year-old Loudoun County man has admitted to stabbing his father to death.

Hector Anthony Flores Jr. pleaded guilty Monday to the murder of his father, Hector Flores Sr.

On Sept. 24, 2017, after spending the day drinking and watching football with a neighbor, the two men began arguing in the car during their drive back to the home they shared.

The argument continued in the house, which resulted in a physical altercation. According to a news release, Flores Sr struck his son twice in the ribs. Flores Jr. took a knife from the kitchen and stabbed his father twice in the chest and once in the side.

Flores Sr. fled the house to seek help from neighbors, but Flores Jr. followed him to a neighbor’s front door and stabbed him at least three more times in the back.

Flores Jr. fled but he later turned himself in to Leesburg police. He is held without bond and will be sentenced, facing 40 years, on July 31.
