WASHINGTON — Two people were killed and five were injured in a head-on crash in Montgomery County Friday. Montgomery County police are investigating a fatal collision between two vehicles in Potomac, Maryland. It happened just before 8 p.m. on Oaklyn Drive between Pleasant Gate Lane/Avenel Farm Drive and Falls Road. An SUV traveling westbound on Oaklyn Drive collided with a car going eastbound. Police are still investigating what caused the crash. Hersh Bhansaly, 25, of Bethesda, and Brian Everett Laurence, 25, of Potomac, were in the rear of the car. They were taken to the hospital, where they died from their injuries, according to a news release. The driver of the car is identified as 25-year-old California resident Daniel Alex Epstein. He, along with a man sitting in the front seat of the car, were taken to the hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening. The driver of the SUV, who is a 16-year-old girl, and two female juvenile passengers, were taken to the hospital and had injuries that were not life-threatening. Some 50 firefighters and more than 10 paramedics were on the scene, a Montgomery County Fire and Rescue spokesman tweeted.
