Location pending for DC gun control march planned by Florida shooting victims

WASHINGTON — A march being planned by students of the Parkland, Florida, school shooting could end up being held on Pennsylvania Avenue between 3rd and 12th streets.

The National Park Service says the permit request from the March for Our Lives group has been amended. The first request, for a march on the National Mall, was rejected because requests came in first from two other groups holding events.

D.C. police confirm they’re considering a request from the group. There’s no time frame on when a decision will be made.

The March for Our Lives, calling for stricter gun control, is planned for March 24.
