National Pancake Day: Free pancakes with a purpose at IHOP

WASHINGTON — It’s a fantastic day for fans of one of breakfast’s fluffiest foods: IHOP is celebrating National Pancake Day by giving away free short stacks — and every stack served goes toward a $5 million donation goal for children’s hospitals.

The event lasts until 7 p.m. Tuesday at IHOPs nationwide.

IHOP said that since the celebration’s inception in 2006, it has raised nearly $30 million for its community partners.

National Pancake Day falls on a different day every year.
