WASHINGTON — Police in Anne Arundel County said two people who were found dead in a home in Odenton, Maryland, were the victims in an “isolated incident.”

Police received a 911 call a little after 7 a.m. on Sunday, Feb. 25 about two people that had been shot in 2000 block of Brigadier Boulevard in Odenton, Maryland. The call came from a family member inside the home.

When police arrived on the scene, they found a man and a woman suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Both were pronounced dead on the scene.

“Some type of crime has definitely been committed,” Lt. Ryan Frashure told the Associated Press.

Police said this appears to be an isolated incident and there is no reason to believe there is any threat to the community.

Police identified the husband as 55-year-old Charles James Edward Jackson, the woman was his 47-year-old wife, Veronique Crystal Jackson.

“It appears to be some type of isolated incident that happened inside the house either late last night or early this morning,” Frashure said.

Frashure said police have never been called to the home in question for any concerns related to domestic violence or any other type of call.

In a statement on its Facebook page, the Anne Arundel County Police Department said several witnesses have been identified and interviewed. Frashure had previously said that neighbors did not see or hear anything.

An autopsy is scheduled for Monday to determine the exact cause of death.
