Police seek suspect in fatal Waldorf shooting

WASHINGTON — Police are searching for a person suspected of fatally shooting a man in Waldorf, Maryland, Saturday night.

Police found Brandon Andrew Briscoe, 24, of Waldorf, with gunshot wounds on his upper body. He was taken to a hospital, where he died.

Charles County officers were responding to a report of a shooting in the 12100 block of Ell Lane around 9 p.m. when they found Briscoe.

A preliminary investigation by Charles County Sheriff’s Office said that “an unknown suspect” approached Briscoe as he was standing outside of an apartment building. The suspect shot Briscoe several times and ran away.

This is an ongoing investigation.

Anyone with information regarding the incident should call Detective J. Elliott at 301-609-6515. There is a reward of up to $1,000 for anyone with information that leads to an arrest in this case.

Guns, 3D printer seized from 2 students after firearms found at Charles Co. high school

A 3D printer and multiple guns were seized by the Charles County Sheriff's Office in Maryland after two students brought firearms to school. The seizures stemmed from incidents on Wednesday and Thursday, when firearms were found at St. Charles High School in Waldorf.
