Silver Spring resident killed in Capitol Heights

WASHINGTON — Prince George’s County police detectives are investigating the fatal shooting of a Silver Spring man.

On Wednesday afternoon, officers found Joseph Ward, 37, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds outside of a vacant house on the 1300 block of Oates Street in Capitol Heights. He was pronounced dead at the scene just after 4 p.m.

The Prince George’s County police is offering a reward of up to $25,000 for information leading to an arrest and indictment. Anyone with information about Ward’s death should call detectives at 301-772-4925.
