Police: Md. woman missing since November found dead in a pond

WASHINGTON — Montgomery County police have identified the body of a woman found dead in a pond in Burtonsville, Maryland, on Wednesday.

Police say Kristin Danielle Bessix, 36, of Burtonsville, was found in a pond behind the 14200 block of Ballinger Terrace at 3:39 p.m.

Bessix was last seen by friends on Nov. 9 in the area of Castle Boulevard. Family members reported her missing on Nov. 22.

Baltimore medical examiners are conducting an autopsy to determine how Bessix died.

This is an ongoing investigation.
