‘Fixer Upper’ stars Chip and Joanna Gaines announce pregnancy

WASHINGTON — The stars of HGTV’s mega-popular “Fixer Upper” are adding another little set of hands to the bustling family business. Chip, 43, and Joanna Gaines, 39, announced via social media late Tuesday that they are expecting a fifth child.

The couple is already the parents of Drake, 12, Ella, 11, Duke 9, and Emmie Kay, 7 — all of whom appear on the Waco, Texas-based show. “Fixer Upper” — which has been a ratings juggernaut for HGTV — is currently in its fifth and final season. Chip and Joanna announced their decision to end the show in September, saying they wanted to put their family first.  

In June, Joanna told People that she would love to expand the family. “I would love another baby — or twins!” she said. Mission accomplished.

Because, as it turns out, the tune has a problematic past.
