WASHINGTON — The family of a fallen FBI agent got a holiday surprise on Tuesday, courtesy of a fire department in Montgomery County.

For the family of Special Agent Carlos Wolff, the holidays have been tinged with tragedy. Wolff was killed in a car crash earlier this month along with a lieutenant from the Rockville Volunteer Fire Department. However, thanks to the efforts of Laytonsville Fire Department, some of the holiday joy has been restored for the children of the special agent.

Video provided by the family shows members of the fire department as they pulled into the family’s neighborhood with sirens blaring and Santa riding atop one of the fire engines. The video shows Wolff’s children, along with other neighborhood kids, jumping for joy as the trucks pulled up.

Wolff’s sister Alejandra Pickering expressed her gratitude for the public safety officers in a post on social media.

“In such a time of sorrow and grief these (public safety officers) went above and beyond their call of duty to show our family that they care and are here to honor the fallen!” Pickering said on Facebook.

The firefighters then took pictures with Wolff’s children and family.

“We salute you and will never forget tonight!” Pickering posted on Facebook.
