WASHINGTON — The Washington Nationals’ annual two-day Winterfest drew a large crowd at the Washington Convention Center Saturday.

Baseball fans who arrived early were pleasantly surprised to be met at the entrance by many of the players.

As fans rode down the escalators, they exchanged fist bumps with some of the Nats.

The athletes posed for photos with fans and signed autographs.

And no Nationals event would be complete without the Racing Presidents.

Some activities include clinics with player and coaches, making snow forts, batting practices, a giant slide and winter- or baseball-themed storytelling.

Winterfest continues through Sunday from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Washington Convention Center. Tickets are $39 for adults and $29 for children.
