Prince George’s volunteer sports trainer arrested after sending explicit photo to student

WASHINGTON — A volunteer trainer for a Prince George’s County girl’s basketball team was arrested after police said he sent a sexually explicit photo to a high school student earlier this month.

Carl Joseph, 26, was a volunteer trainer for a girl’s basketball team at Gwynn Park High School in Brandywine, Maryland, and not employed by Prince George’s County Public Schools.

Earlier in November, Joseph, a Baltimore resident, texted a student a photo of his body, “including his genitals,” Prince George’s County police said.

A student notified a teacher of the photo. Prince George’s County police learned of the incident from security officials.

Joseph was charged with solicitation of a minor and displaying obscene nude pictures.
