1 dead in Owings Mills after being hit by a car on I-795

WASHINGTON — An unidentified person is dead after being hit by a car in Owings Mills, Maryland, around 11 p.m. on Saturday.

The incident occurred on southbound Interstate 795 at Owings Mills Boulevard. According to Maryland State police, a 2008 Honda Accord struck a pedestrian who was attempting to cross the interstate in lane one.

The pedestrian died at the scene. The driver of the Accord was uninjured.

Only one lane on I-795 was open during the investigation. Police ask anyone with information about the incident to call 410-780-2700.
