WASHINGTON — Virginia State Police are investigating a hazmat situation after an SUV and a tanker truck crashed in Loudoun County, causing the tanker to leak.
The incident occurred on around 5:30 a.m. Wednesday on West Colonial Parkway, just east of Route 704, police say.
The woman who was driving the SUV was flown to a hospital for treatment. Police say her injuries are not life-threatening.
The driver of the tanker was unharmed but the impact of the crash damaged the truck.
