2 men charged with murder in fatal Riverdale Park shooting

WASHINGTON —  Police in Prince George’s County have arrested two men in connection with a fatal shooting in Riverdale Park late last month.

Nineteen-year-old Marquise Dinkins from Capitol Heights, Maryland, and 30-year-old Charles Howard Davis from Bladensburg, Maryland were charged with first- and second-degree murder in connection with the July 26 fatal shooting of 26-year-old Cesar Bazan.

On July 26 at around 8:30 p.m., patrol officers with the Riverdale Police Department responded to a shooting in the 550 block of 54th Avenue.

When they arrived, they found Bazan outside suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken to a hospital where he died a short time later.

Dinkins is in custody in D.C. awaiting extradition to Prince George’s County. Davis is being held without bond at the Prince George’s County jail.
