Man charged in Lorton double-homicide case

WASHINGTON — A 21-year-old Lorton, Virginia, man is facing charges for his role in a drug-related double homicide last week, where two men were found dead in a car.

Fairfax County police arrested 21-year-old Kelsey Jordan McCrimmon Monday and on Tuesday charged him in the July 26 murders of Gregory Dennis, 19, and Ryan Cross, 20 — both of Dumfries, Virginia. Their bodies were found in a white Acura, and they had apparent trauma to the upper body, police said.

Police confirmed Tuesday it was a drug-related incident.

McCrimmon is charged with two counts of second-degree murder.

Police arrested McCrimmon on an unrelated robbery charge that happened last month. On July 2, police say McCrimmon reached out to a man selling a cellphone. When they met, McCrimmon “put a handgun in the seller’s face and robbed him of the cellphone,” police said.

Police did not release any additional details about the double homicide.

Police say the double homicide investigation is active and they are still following leads and collecting information.
