MWAA announced on Thursday that Scott Booth has resigned, effective mid-July, to take a position with the Transportation Security Administration. He’ll be deputy federal security director at Charlotte Douglas International Airport, in North Carolina.

Bryan Norwood, the vice president for public safety, will be acting chief of police until a new chief is found, MWAA said; they’ll conduct a nationwide search.

Booth joined the MWAA police in August 2015 and was promoted to chief in January 2016, MWAA said in the statement.

Norwood praised Booth for his “dedication to customer service, professionalism and teamwork in serving the traveling public at Reagan National Airport, Dulles International Airport and the Dulles Toll Road. We congratulate him on this new phase of his career with the TSA.”

It’s hard to shake up the jam-packed SUV market, but Hyundai managed to do so with the Palisade, as an extreme value play. It seats up to eight, can be equipped with almost every luxury touch and competes with SUVs costing thousands (or tens of thousands) more.
