Taco Bell’s ‘Naked Chicken’ is now a chip flavor

WASHINGTON — Taco Bell is following up its Naked Chicken Chalupa — a taco shell made entirely out of fried chicken — with a chip and dip version.

The Naked Chicken Chips are made of marinated, all-white-meat chicken with Mexican spices and seasoning. They’re served with Taco Bell’s Nacho Cheese sauce.

“The world wasn’t ready to say goodbye to Naked Chicken, and neither were we,” said Taco Bell chief marketing officer Marisa Thalberg.

“Just when you thought it couldn’t get any better, we went and added our famous Nacho Cheese to expose the traditional chips and cheese combo like only Taco Bell can,” she said.

A six-piece order is $1.99. A 12-piece order is $3.99. For $5, you can also get the Naked Chicken chips in a box with a Burrito Supreme, a Crunchy Taco and a medium drink.

Taco Bell tested the triangular-shaped chicken nuggets last summer in a handful of markets. It ended the limited-time sales of its Naked Chicken Chalupa in March.
