Ellicott City man arrested over child porn

WASHINGTON — A Howard County, Maryland, man was arrested and charged Thursday with possession and distribution of child pornography.

Maryland State Police charged Frederick Saddic, 64, of Ellicott City with four counts each of distribution and possession of child porn.

The Maryland State Police Computer Crimes Unit was led to Saddic after investigators downloaded pornography that was distributed from a specific internet address, authorities said.

That address was identified, and troopers arrested Saddic before 6 a.m. Thursday morning. A search warrant was also served.

A preliminary forensic review of Saddic’s computer indicated it held numerous images and/or video files of child pornography, state police said.
