Woman arrested linked to Arlington Co. fatal house-party shooting

WASHINGTON — Police have arrested a Capitol Heights, Maryland, woman for her alleged role in a fatal shooting at an Arlington County house party last month. [related_gallery align=”right”]

Monique Williams, 27, was arrested Feb. 20 in Prince George’s County and extradited to Virginia. She has been charged with accessory after the fact for her role in a Feb. 19 shooting in the Williamsburg neighborhood of Arlington.

Williams is being held in the Arlington County Detention Center on no bail.

Police continue to look for their main suspect in the fatal shooting, 37-year-old Jason Allen Johnson of D.C. According to police, Johnson shot and killed Michael Gray, 23, of Manassas, in the early hours of Feb. 19.

Pardoned Capitol rioter arrested after videos show man touching strangers’ hair on Metro trains

A man who pleaded guilty to charges related to his participation in the Jan. 6 Capitol riot, and was then pardoned, was arrested Monday night after videos that went viral reportedly showed him touching female passengers' hair on Metro trains in the D.C. area. Bryan Betancur, 28, of Silver Spring, Maryland, is charged with assault and battery in connection with an offense that happened Sunday on a Silver Line train servicing the Clarendon station. Police did not confirm that incident was directly tied to the videos circulating online.
