Cyber Monday deals from ‘desperate’ retailers

WASHINGTON — If you missed your chance to score some Black Friday deals, don’t fret. Retailers are just as motivated to make a sale as shoppers are to find a deal.

Matt Granite, consumer reporter for USA Today, told WTOP that retailers are more desperate than ever.

“They’re playing catchup from Black Friday, and a lot of the Cyber Monday deals that are now online as we speak actually debuted on Friday — they just couldn’t get them to you fast enough.”

Wireless headphones are among the big discounted items this holiday season, he said, citing a pair of Treblab wireless headphones are marked down to $39 from $180.

Granite was also impressed with a $100 Braven wireless speaker that is “lifeproof, waterproof, smashproof and will also charge your tech” that is marked down to $49.99.

Amazon is also offering good discounts on its branded tech items, he said: the $29.99 Fire TV Stick, the $39.99 Echo Dot and the $33.33 Fire Tablet.

But the Cyber Monday deals aren’t just in tech: “We’re seeing clothing, we’re seeing footwear, we’re seeing everything stores can do to get you to spend,” Granite said.

Here are some other Cyber Monday offers to browse from the comforts of your own home.
