Pedestrian dies weeks after being hit by car in Alexandria

ALEXANDRIA, Va. (AP) — Alexandria police say a pedestrian struck by car in October has died of his injuries.

The department said in a news release that 62-year-old Peter Palm of Alexandria was hit shortly after 2 a.m. on Oct. 8 on North Henry Street.

Officers say Palm was taken to a hospital, where he died on Nov. 19.

Authorities say the driver, 24-year-old Kyeshia Arrington of Alexandria, stayed at the scene. She was charged with driving while intoxicated.

The crash is still under investigation.
