The Hunt: The fight for Mosul

WASHINGTON — The fight for Mosul and the search for ISIL fighters is intensifying. In this week’s edition of The Hunt with WTOP national security correspondent J.J. Green, Iraq’s former Ambassador Lukman Faily, said while the U.S. is leading the coalition fighting ISIL, the U.S. is also partly to blame for the rise of ISIL.

WASHINGTON — If the momentum of a U.S.-led coalition is any indicator, the black flag of the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIS) may be completely eradicated from Syria and Iraq in a matter of months. But the head of the National Counterterrorism Center warns that the black cloud of ISIS terrorism will not dissipate the day after the caliphate falls.
