WASHINGTON — Furnishings, dishes, books and political mementos are among the more than 700 items from the Los Angeles ranch-style home of Ronald and Nancy that will be auctioned off this week.
Christie’s will auction some of the items online and the remainder will be sold through a live two-day auction in New York.
Some of the items represent the Reagans’ daily life including a sofa and armchair, a framed photo of a young Ronald Reagan and a set of interchangeable clip earrings. Other items were gifts from foreign dignitaries or family friends.
The proceeds will benefit the Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation and Institute.
The Reagans moved into their 7,000-square-foot Bel Air home after leaving the White House in 1989.
