3 people injured after driver hits 2 cars in Howard Co.

WASHINGTON — A three-car crash on Md. 32 near Dorsey Run Road in Jessup sent three people to the hospital Tuesday night, Howard County police said.

A driver had rear-ended one car with two people inside, and then sideswiped another car that also had two people inside around 8:15 p.m.

The driver who collided with the two cars was taken to the hospital with what police say are non-life-threatening injuries. That driver was the only occupant in their car.

The two people in the rear-ended car were also taken to the hospital, one with life-threatening injuries and the other in a less serious condition, police say. The two in the sideswiped car were not injured.

Howard County police continue to investigate the collision, and had still closed eastbound Md. 32 at U.S. 1 as of around 10 p.m. Tuesday.
