9:30 Club announces Green Day concert

WASHINGTON — Do you have the time? To listen to Green Day live?

D.C.’s historic 9:30 Club made the announcement Tuesday morning that it will be hosting a rare intimate show for the newly inducted Rock ‘n Roll Hall of Famers on Monday, Oct. 3.

The punk rockers are known for smash albums from “Dookie” to “American Idiot” with a string of hits: “Welcome to Paradise,” “Longview,” “When I Come Around,” “Basket Case,” “Good Riddance (Time of Your Life),” “Boulevard of Broken Dreams” and “Wake Me Up When September Ends.”

Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. this Friday, Sept. 9.

Tickets cost $65 with a two-ticket maximum per person.
