Son, 30, charged with killing parents in Laurel home

LAUREL, Md.  — A 30-year-old man who lived with his parents in the Laurel area of Howard County, Maryland, has been charged with their murders.

Howard County police say Craig Dennis White, 30, has been charged with first- and second-degree murder and assault in the death of his father Glen White, 66, and mother Linda White, 61.

Police say Glen White was stabbed while Linda White suffered blunt force trauma. He was found in a bedroom and she in the basement when police went to their home on the 9500 block of Queensguard Court early Friday.

Police went to the home when the couple failed to show up at an expected meeting.

Craig White was taken into custody after a traffic stop in Columbia.
