Baby sea lion debuts at National Zoo (Photos)

WASHINGTON — Smithsonian’s National Zoo has an adorable addition to its sea lion exhibit.

A female California sea lion pup — named Catalina — born on June 26 made its public debut in the exhibit this week. Catalina is the first sea lion pup born at the zoo in 32 years, the zoo said in a Friday release.

Since Aug. 22, the new pup has been getting used to the exhibit she shares with her mother, 11-year-old Calli and two unrelated females named Summer and Sidney.
