Emergency drill to impact weekend Metro Yellow Line service

WASHINGTON (AP) — Metro is planning an emergency response drill on the Yellow Line this weekend that will impact service.

Metro says in a statement that it will conduct a drill Sunday on the elevated track approaching the Pentagon station over the Potomac River. Metro says that Yellow Line service will be suspended between the L’Enfant Plaza and Pentagon stations from opening until about 2 p.m., when the drill is expected to conclude.

Metro says more than 100 emergency responders and volunteers are expected to attend the drill including participants from Arlington, Washington, Alexandria and Prince George’s County.
