WASHINGTON — A Metrobus driver had a “medical emergency” Tuesday morning, sending a D4 bus up onto the curb facing the wrong way at 12th Street and New York Avenue, NW, Metro said.

Metro spokeswoman Sherri Ly said the bus operator was taken to the hospital, but did not have any further information on the driver’s condition.

No passengers were hurt in the incident, which occurred just before 9:30 a.m. Tuesday.

The D4 route runs includes Dupont Circle, Farragut Square, Mount Vernon Square, Trinidad and Ivy City. The bus runs largely along K Street.
