Prince William Co. police charge 7 after running sex sting over internet

MANASSAS, Va. (AP) — Prince William County Police have arrested seven men after running an internet sting operation targeting individuals seeking sexual contact with minors.

Police announced Monday a weeklong operation in which detectives posed as juveniles on social media.

Police say the seven men who were arrested solicited sex acts and agreed to meet the undercover detective at a location in Prince William County, where they were arrested.

The men who were arrested range in age from 20 to 58. Six are residents of northern Virginia; one is a Maryland resident. They face charges including solicitation of prostitution and using a communication device to facilitate an offense against a child.
