June 2016: DC area’s most expensive homes for sale

WASHINGTON — Do you have $18 million to spend on your next home?  Then you can afford the most expensive residential property currently on the market in the D.C. metro area: A six-bedroom house on 1.5 acres on Pembroke Road, in Bethesda.

You can keep your car collection on premises in the eight-space garage, and entertain all day at the pool and pool house.

But no tire kicking: Financial qualification is required for all showings.

If you need more room to spread out, $15.5 million will buy you a 327-acre estate in Middleburg with a 90-year-old estate house surrounded by flagstone terraces, stables for your horses and caretakers’ apartments.

Listing service MRIS has put together a list of the 10 most expensive listings currently on the market in the greater Washington area, and even No. 10 comes in at $9.975 million.

MRIS provided the ranking information and images for this list. MRIS Homes is the mid-Atlantic region’s only real estate home search site offering real-time local listings from the Multiple Listing Service.
